Preparation

Bed Bug Treatment Preparation

Upon arrival of the service technician, you and your pets will be required to leave for a minimum of 4-hours. Windows preferably open if possible.

Before our arrival, all (clean or dirty) linens, towel, blankets and sheets must be laundered in detergent and hot water then bagged. All beds shall remain stripped for the treatment.

Before our arrival, all (clean or dirty) clothing must be washed and sealed in bags. This includes stuffed animals and drapes.

Do not store bagged items in infected rooms!

Nightstands, drawers, dressers, etc need to have items inspected and removed.

Prior to the technician\'s arrival, all areas of the house must be cleaned and vacuumed. Remove clutter off floors and away from walls.

Please note, if offsite laundering is to be done, when transporting laundry use plastic disaposable garbage bags. Discard bags and bring clean laundry back in new clean bags.

All items must be moved away from walls so baseboards are accessible.

Upon completion of the treatment, all areas must be thoroughly vacuumed and the vacuum bag discarded.

Treatment will include a thorough crack and crevice treatment, as well as treatment to the baseboards and in some areas of carpet. In some cases a vacuum and steam may be used.

Purchase and use proper mattress covers (after treatment).

To ensure a thorough and effective treatment, the preparation must be followed prior to the treatment date. If not followed, you will significantly reduce the chances of eliminating the bedbug problem.

NOTE! It is not uncommon to still experience bed bug problems for 2 to 3 weeks following treatment. Treatment needs time to work.
